CSI offers comprehensive reviews and training programs to ensure our client has the appropriate loss prevention policies and procedures in place to protect them from internal theft, ethics concerns, and to minimize consumer product losses.  The reviews evaluate existing programs, policies, and procedures.  The client will receive recommendations for enhancements or additional tools to assist in minimizing exposure to loss.  The training programs will be customized to fit the needs of each client.    

Internal loss/ethics awareness services include the following:  
  • Code of conduct guidelines
  • Employee awareness training programs to address Code of Conduct guidelines, with added emphasis on:
    • Theft
    • Misuse of company property
    • Violence in the workplace
    • Protection of customer information, to include document security
  • Review/recommend policies and procedures to ensure protection from and detection of internal theft
  • Review/recommend policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations for filing appropriate Suspicious Activity Reports
  • Review/recommend policies and procedures for reporting internal losses to law enforcement
  • Assist in implementation of a 24 hour hot-line to address employee concerns
  • Review possible software programs that may assist in detecting internal theft

External loss mitigation services include the following:

  • Review of new account/client screening procedures
  • Employee awareness training programs for common fraudulent transactions and schemes
  • Review/recommend policies and procedures to ensure protection from and detection of fraudulent transactions
  • Review/recommend policies and procedures for handling suspected fraudulent transactions
  • Review/recommend policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations for filing appropriate Suspicious Activity Reports
  • Review/recommend policies and procedures for reporting fraud losses to law enforcement
  • Identify software programs to assist in fraud prevention, detection and loss tracking
  • Review/recommend policies and procedures for the collection of losses
  • Review awareness of applicable laws and UCC regulations to insure all fraud claims are legitimate and timely, both from customers and other financial institutions.  This will include timely return of checks, handling claims of unauthorized transactions, and handling of foreign items
